Steel Life

From my AT HOME series. Many people respond saying wow or etc.to this kind of rendering of steel objects. If I take them to my kitchen and show them the real steel barrel they wonder what I am showing them...the question is what really makes us say wow or pleases us asthetically.

Parked

It is not the subject but the relation of line, shapes, tones color that really inspire us to paint. After that it is our selection, subtraction and emphasis that define the composition.
Today talking to a friend of mine during my exhibit we discovered four "C"s
Content, Composition, Color and Complexion. Further we thought a little unfortunate thing is many could be buyers respond to content and composition but think more of suitability or decorativeness of color and complexion while making a decision to buy. may be I might be wrong.

Mirror View

Another oldie but had been quiet favorite.this was painted in gouache on a tinted paper.
the view is trough the mirror .the basin platform helped putting all the paint stuff on one side and painting on a table top easle on the other side.

Blue

Usually I can’t paint so bright and dark. This one is acrylic on some sort of oil paper. I am happy when I can get chiaroscuro photorealistic effect yet reflecting some kind of abstract content. This usually does not happen every time and none the less if we strive for it.

Finished..!?!

Started this one with bold Black washes which could be under painting tonal plan and somehow stopped at that point.
Later added a blue wash with spray gun.
I am happy here with the result and almost feeling a triumph, I could STOP.
Any comment?
