Parked

It is not the subject but the relation of line, shapes, tones color that really inspire us to paint. After that it is our selection, subtraction and emphasis that define the composition.
Today talking to a friend of mine during my exhibit we discovered four "C"s
Content, Composition, Color and Complexion. Further we thought a little unfortunate thing is many could be buyers respond to content and composition but think more of suitability or decorativeness of color and complexion while making a decision to buy. may be I might be wrong.

I feel buyers do consider all the 4"C"s, but their decisions are driven by other factors beyond just the painting e.g. purpose of buying or where they plan to hang it etc. I am sure if you allow the buyers to bid for your paintings, they may bid high prices for paintings you personally don't like so much and vice versa.

I personally prefer artists working for themselves, 'cause that brings the best out of them! That's why I love your paintings.
