tekadi path

20"x22" mix media, the support is the paper called as duplex board around here has a grey surface.
after initial washes of grass and kind of foliedge I carefully did the tree branches.
the last part was painting the sky in between the branches with thick opaque blue pinkyellows.
why did i paint the branches first and then the sky in between filling negtive areas?

This is beautifully done. Is the base some sort of a white board?

Just gorgeous--a lovely misty, morning!

That is great! Since the path is made up of the bare surface, the painting seems to "grow" off of it.

Beautiful glow in the background :)

I really like this painting. The dominance of the cool shadows enhances the brilliance of the sparse lit areas. Nicely done!

Wow. The tree branches really seems to have been done carefully. The whites are very well lefft out. But I still did not understand why the sky was painted later on between the branches???
