this is mix media,acrylics combined with some oil pastels on untreated mdf board. For long time I struggeled creating texture layering with oil pastels over acrylics over oil pastels over acrylics.
The final dark ultramarine blue has pulled it together,i think.

Looks great. Love the wall texture. I'm working on some paintings for a Mexican restaurant, and I may experiment with the oil pastels with acrylic. I have often used colored conte crayons for textural and atmospheric effects on my watercolor paintings.
