this..guy in the mirror

these are relatively better attempts..
I had tough time painting this one as my model was too unstable. He constantly kept looking up and down ,moving his head to and fro not to mention squinting his eyes.
my wife did not say"He looks almost but not quiet unlike me".In fact she agreed he looks quiet familiar,..confused and lost.
hats off to those who have painted "him" more successfully.(him?..who..oh him)
Please check many other paintings at "Self Portrait Global Love In" at http://spgloballovein.blogspot.com/

Hey, I like your color choices. The background creates a vibrant frame for your face. I think I like the mood of the second one better, plus it has some really nice lost edges. I just posted mine on my blog too.

Your sense of humor is as good as your paintings :)

Thank you Sir for finally posting your SP. I have waited to see it right since the day you and Mr. Lobenberg announced the Global love-in. And I feel the wait was really worth it. I shall be mailing mine to Mr. Loebnberg today and its indeed a dream come true to have my work in the same place with the likes of you, my idol!

Not to mention, both portraits are excellent and beyond my expectation. I particularly like the second one. Thank you.

I liked the red one. It is SO connected with the surroundings. One can't live in isolation.

Hi Milind,

I noticed your portrait right away in the Global self portraits. So good -- such wonderful colour. I feel like I'm learning so much about colour from you.

Take care,

Barbara

You are more smarter and confident in these portraits. More lenient, polite, soft in real interaction so confusion is O K.
